Cathedral, by David LaChapelle

As with many of LaChapelle’s lavish staged photographic tableaux, this invites multiple (and probably contradictory, not to mention uncomfortable) readings. But I do like this piece: I’m always attracted to the imagery of churches as ships—every catherdal, after all, has its nave “Cathedral” (2007), by David LaChapelle, from the exhibition Delirios de razón , at the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso, Mexico City, 3 February—17 May 2009 :: via lens culture
